Care Instructions for Stretch Sequin Fabric

Washing

• Hand wash only — machine washing can tear sequins or stretch the backing.

• Use cold water.

• Choose a mild detergent meant for delicates.

• Gently move the fabric through the water; do not scrub, wring, or twist.

• Avoid soaking for long periods.

• Never use bleach or harsh stain removers (they can cloud or dissolve sequins).

Drying

• After washing, gently press out water with a towel — don’t wring.

• Lay flat on a clean, dry towel to air-dry.

• Keep away from heat sources and do not tumble dry.

• Avoid hanging heavy garments while wet; the weight can stretch the knit backing.

Ironing

• Avoid ironing directly. Heat can melt sequins or distort stretch fabric.

• If absolutely needed, turn the fabric inside out, cover with a thick pressing cloth, and iron on very low heat, no steam, without touching sequins.

• Steaming from a distance (6–12 inches away) can release wrinkles safely.

Storage

• Store flat if possible to avoid stretching.

• If hanging, use a padded hanger and support heavy areas (drape a scarf over the hanger to distribute weight).

• Keep away from rough surfaces that can snag sequins.

• For long-term storage, cover with a breathable garment bag.

Spot Cleaning

• Dab gently with a mild detergent and water mixture.

• Avoid rubbing — this can loosen sequins or cause shedding.
